Training Workshop for Carbon Valuation, Assessment and Sequestration hosted by Department of Environment and Natural Resources Region V was held on May 5 to 7, 2021. The resource speaker for the workshop is Dr. Allan Castillo, Scientist I of Ecosystems Research and Development Bureau. First day of training was held at Hamada Hall, DENR V and the resource speaker disclosed to the participants the object of the workshop and it is to be able to define the general concept of Carbon Sequestration, to identify the terrestrial carbon pools and to compute the carbon stock present in a forest. The succeeding days of the training was held thru zoom application where personnel of MGB-V actively participates in the given set of exercises to apply the learning in computing the carbon stock.
