The Mines and Geosciences Bureau Regional Office No. V (MGB R.O.-V) undertakes to capacitate its key personnel in the Quality Management Systems (QMS) on the latest guidelines for Internal Quality Audit based on ISO 9001:2018 zooming in on Risk-based IQA.
The two-day Risk-Based IQA Training/Workshop on July 1 and 2, 2020 includes IQA orientation and the practical application to the organization’s risk management process. A refresher course for the organization on the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 standard was likewise introduced to promote deeper appreciation of QMS principles. QMS models, auditing principles, objective-based compliance-centered value adding audit and the need for competent, adequate and effective audit.
Participants include the Quality Management representative, members of IQA team, members of Auditors’ Auditor group, and the Risk and Opportunity Calibration team, among others. The training / workshop was outsourced from and administered online via zoom platform by GEEV Certification Solutionz thru its most competent resource speaker Ms. Grace Daria.
It will be recalled that the MGB R.O.-V started to establish its QMS compliant to ISO 9001:2015 in August 2017 in response to Executive Order no. 605. The Management Systems of MGB R.O.-V was certified to have been assessed by AJA Registrars (now SOCOTEC Certification Phils., Inc.) and registered against the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 with the issuance of Registration Certificate No. AJA 18-0135 covering the period August 6, 2018 to August 5, 2021. Implementation of the Management Systems is due on its 2nd Surveillance Audit.
The capacitation is a fulfillment of the organization’s commitment to continually update and improve the Quality Management Systems.
