After passing the second surveillance audit conducted by the certifying body SOCOTEC Certification International formerly known as AJA Registrars, Inc. last July 16 and 17, 2020 thru remote audit, the Mines and Geosciences Bureau Regional Office No. V (MGB R.O.-V) has maintained its certification of ISO 9001:2015.
During the virtual audit, SOCOTEC noted the following positive findings given to the Office: 1. Top Management’s leadership and effort to enable productivity even during COVID-19 situation; 2. Trust and communication within the organization; 3. Forms used in Geosciences as well as the Risk and Opportunities Identification and Evaluation Sheet look comprehensive and user-friendly; 4. Being awarded for 8888 complaints handling; and 5. HR prime initiative by the Regional Office.
It is to be noted that MGB R.O.-V obtained its ISO 9001:2015 certification on August 6, 2018 purusant to Executive Order no. 605 which directs all departments and agencies of the Executive Branch, including all Government-Owned and/or Controlled Corporations and Government Financial Institutions to adopt QMS Standards as part of Government-wide Quality Management Program.
This ISO Certification is the Office’s way of offering good quality services through streamlined processes that ensure customer satisfaction, continuous improvement of systems and conformity to applicable legal requirements.
